• Jimmer Fredette led the way with 34 points (7 of 12 on 3-pointers), giving him 66 points in the NCAA tournament this year, and giving him 30 for the sixth time in his past seven games.
• BYU improved to 9-0 against WCC schools in the past five years and beat a WCC school in the tournament for the first time.
• BYU won by its second largest margin of victory in the tournament. The Cougars beat UCLA by 23 in 1981.
