WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Riley Grafft came off the bench to score 21 points and lead four American players in double figures in the Eagles' 77-66 win over Howard on Tuesday night.
Grafft was 7 of 8 from the field, and a perfect 6 of 6 from the free-throw line, as the Eagles (5-2) made 35 of 44 foul shots (79.5 percent).
American took a 12-1 lead during the first six minutes, and Grafft, Hinkle and Brewer combined for 24 of the Eagles' 32 first-half points.
Daniel Munoz added 10 points for the Eagles, who won their fifth straight overall and ninth in a row against Howard.
Simuel Frazier led the Bison (2-4), who shot 70 percent from the free-throw line (28 of 40), with 17 points.
