WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Kendall Anthony scored 17 points and Richmond hit 15 3-pointers as the Spiders eased to a 92-61 win over their oldest rival, William & Mary, on Wednesday night.
Richmond (5-2) posted its highest point total since a 103-59 win over Virginia Military Institute in November 2009. The Spiders also shot 62.1 percent from the field (36 of 58) for their highest percentage since beating Charleston Southern in 2009.
Anthony was 5 of 7 from beyond the arc as the team went 15 of 29 from long range, marking their most successful 3-point performance since a 2004 win over Rhode Island.
Richmond took its 100th win in the historic series in the 197th meeting between the teams.
The Spiders' bench outscored the Tribe 52-20.
Tim Rusthoven led William & Mary (1-7) with 15 points.
