ALBANY, N.Y. -- Dylon Cormier scored 21 points and Loyola (Md.) beat Siena 66-59 on Saturday night.
The Greyhounds (6-1, 2-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) have won six in a row and handed Siena its first five-game losing streak in six seasons. Erik Etherly finished with 11 points, Shane Walker added 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Robert Olson had 10 points.Loyola took a 58-47 lead with 2:36 left in the second half on Etherly's layup. Siena wouldn't go away easily as the Saints cut the margin to six points after a 3-pointer and jumper.But Cormier answered with a layup and Olson made four free throws down the stretch to help Loyola pull way.R.J. Williams had a game-high five steals for Loyola, which finished with 19 total steals. The Greyhounds took advantage of Siena's miscues, scoring 18 points off turnovers.Evan Hymes scored 21 points for Siena (2-5, 0-2).
