CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Ahmad Starks had 16 points and Oregon State pulled away in the second half for a 71-46 win Sunday against Montana.
Will Cherry had 13 points for Montana (4-4), which committed 18 turnovers and shot just 31.5 percent from the field.
The Grizzlies trailed by 13 at halftime and got within nine early in the second half before Oregon State went on a 20-4 run to lead 58-33 with 10:21 left. The Beavers had four 3-pointers in that stretch, two by Starks.
Montana got no closer than 20 points the rest of the way.
Oregon State shot 39 percent from the field, but hit 8 of 20 3-pointers and was 23 of 30 from the free-throw line.
