New Mexico 91, Montana St. 46

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Tony Snell hit his first five 3-pointers, three in the opening 2:07 of the game, sparking New Mexico to a 91-46 victory over Montana State on Tuesday.

Snell finished with a career-high 24 points and six 3-pointers, while the Lobos (9-2) hit a season-best 11 shots from beyond the arc en route to their seventh straight victory.

Montana State (5-6), which has lost three straight, got 16 points from Tre Johnson.

New Mexico started the game with a 9-0 run -- all 3-pointers from Snell -- and by the midpoint of the first half held a 32-8 lead. At halftime, the lead had grown to 53-16.

The game was delayed 30 minutes by a fire alarm shortly before tipoff, the third time in the last two seasons that the Lobos have had a game delayed in that manner.
