Kent St. 67, St. Peter's 58

LOGAN, Utah -- Justin Greene had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Kent State to a 67-58 victory over St. Peter's on Tuesday night.

Randal Holt added 12 points and Patrick Jackson 11 rebounds for the Golden Flashes (8-1). The game was the opener of the Athletes in Action Classic at Utah State University.

Chris Prescott scored 15 points, Chris Burke 11 and Lamin Fulton 10 for the Peacocks (2-8).

With 2:19 remaining, Chris Burke scored to give St. Peter's a 58-57 edge. But Kent State went 5 of 6 from the free-throw line and had a strong putback dunk by Patrick Jackson to seal the win.

The Golden Flashes shot just 34 percent from the field but outrebounded the Peacocks 48-32.
