ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Matt Dickey scored seven of his 18 points in overtime as UNC Asheville rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to outlast Winthrop 73-68 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (7-6, 2-0 Big South Conference) outscored the Eagles 12-7 in overtime, snapping a two-game losing streak. Winthrop lost its fourth straight game.
Chris Stephenson added 17 points for UNC Asheville.
The Eagles (4-10, 1-2), coming off a 92-86 overtime loss to Georgia, led by 10 in the first half and 32-27 at the break. With Winthrop ahead 41-27 early in the second, UNC Asheville began chipping away.
The Bulldogs got within a point three times before Keith Hornsby's three-point play tied it at 61 with 23 seconds left in regulation.
Dickey's two foul shots with 1:16 to go in overtime put UNC Asheville ahead for good.
The Eagles committed 28 turnovers compared to the Bulldogs' 21.
Andre Jones led Winthrop with 15 points.
