Michael Alvarado, who scored 10 points for Manhattan, scored to give the Jaspers a 59-58 lead with 58 seconds to play.George Beamon, who finished with a game-high 18 points for Manhattan (9-7, 2-2), blocked a shot, grabbed the rebound and was fouled. But Beamon made only 1 of 2 from the foul line. That opened the way for Cormier's 3-pointer. Manhattan subsequently didn't get off another shot.
