HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Jonathan Lee and Quincy Ford scored 20 points each to lead Northeastern past James Madison 68-56 on Saturday.
The Huskies (5-9, 1/3 Colonial Athletic Association) held their fourth opponent out of their last five to 56 or fewer points, and won for the third time in their last four games.Northeastern led 53-50 with 4:22 remaining, and went on a 12-4 run to blow it open. Ford emphatically ended the spurt on a dunk with 45 seconds left.Northeastern shot 49 percent from the field (25 of 50), including 7 of 16 form 3-point range. The Dukes (7-7, 1-3) managed just 11.1 percent from long range (1 of 9).A.J. Davis led James Madison with 14 points and Devon Moore and Enoch Hood added 11 each.The Dukes outrebounded Northeastern 31-26, but turned it over 14 times leading to 21 points, in their third straight loss.
