OXFORD, Ohio -- Brian Sullivan scored 17 points and Miami (Ohio) held on to beat Buffalo 52-51 on Saturday.

The RedHawks (5-10, 1-2 Mid-American Conference) trailed 47-44 with 3:49 left in the second half when Buffalo's Mitchell Watt made a jumper. Miami tied the game at 47-all on a 3-pointer by Sullivan, who went 5 of 9 from beyond the arc.

Julian Mavunga's free throw with 2:41 left put the RedHawks ahead for good at 48-47, and John Harris' 3-pointer gave them a four-point advantage with just over a minute remaining.

With Miami holding a three-point lead, Buffalo tried to tie the game on Dave Barnett's 3-point attempt but he missed with 1 second left. Javon McCrea's tip-in off of Barnett's miss made the final margin.

Quinten Rollins had 13 points for Miami.

Watt finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls (8-6, 1-2). McCrea led Buffalo with 16 points.
