HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Jesse Sanders became the first player in NCAA Division I history with a triple-double in each of his four seasons and Liberty defeated High Point 84-78 on Saturday night.

Sanders had 14 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, and surpassed three players who had achieved the statistical feat in each of three years. Shaquille O'Neal, Adonal Foyle and Shawn James each did it.

Liberty (7-14, 2-7 Big South Conference) shot 52.2 percent from the field (24 of 46), and led the entire way.

High Point (7-13, 3-7) made it 57-55 with 7:43 remaining before Liberty scored eight straight to pull away.

David Minaya, who was 11 of 14 from the free-throw line, and Antwan Burrus scored 15 points each for the Flames.

Nick Barbour led High Point with 33 points and Shay Shine chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers.
