LEWISTON, N.Y. -- Justin Drummond scored 21 points and Loyola (Md.) rallied in the second half to defeat Niagara 69-57 on Friday night.
Loyola took the lead for good with a 15-2 run that erased a 46-44 deficit. Two free throws by Drummond capped the run and gave the Greyhounds a 59-48 lead with 1:58 remaining.The Greyhounds made 10 of 12 free throws in the final 2 minutes and were 24 of 30 for the game. Drummond hit 11 of 12 from the line.Erik Etherly added 18 points and Robert Olson had 11 for Loyola (15-8, 8-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which has won three in a row and six of its past seven games.The Greyhounds outrebounded Niagara 33-26 and outscored the Purple Eagles in the paint 30-18.Antoine Mason scored 19 points and Juan'ya Green had 11 for Niagara (9-13, 4-6), which has lost two straight.
