The Delta Devils (9-11, 8-0) outscored Jackson State 36-31 in the second half, holding the Tigers without a field goal over the final 1:27 and using free throws to seal the win.
MVSU outscored Jackson State in the paint 26-22 and 17-14 off turnovers. The Delta Devil's bench contributed 27 points while the Tigers' bench added just six.
The win moves MVSU to 8-0 in the SWAC for the first time in school history.
