LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Hamidu Rahman scored 20 points to lead New Mexico State to an 83-72 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.
Trailing by five with under 10 minutes remaining, NMSU (17-7, 6-2 WAC) outscored Louisiana Tech (11-12, 3-5) 19-5 in the last 7:44. Daniel Mullings scored eight straight during that stretch.
Mullings and Wendell McKines scored 15 apiece for the Aggies, who shot 51.6 percent for the game and outscored Louisiana Tech 46-22 in the paint. Rahman converted 7 of 10 field goals.
