ATLANTA -- Jarvis Threatt led Delaware with 19 points off the bench, including 13 of 15 from the free throw line, and Josh Brinkley added 18 as the Blue Hens beat Georgia State in overtime for the second time this season, 80-77, on Saturday.
Trailing 39-27 at intermission, Georgia State (17-9, 9-6 Colonial Athletic Association) opened the second half on a 21-4 run to take a 48-43 lead with 12:38 left.
Jihad Ali hit two free throws with 14 seconds left to send the game into overtime. The Panthers trailed by just one, 75-74, with 1:03 left in the extra period but Threatt hit five free throws in the final 37 seconds to seal the win.
Despite shooting 1 of 4 from the field, Delaware (13-12, 9-6) made seven free throws and held the Panthers to 18.2 percent (2 of 11) shooting in overtime.
Josh Micheaux led Georgia State with 26.
