BOSTON -- Maurice Watson Jr. scored 13 points with 10 rebounds, and Dom Morris had 13 points and eight rebounds as Boston University defeated New Hampshire 68-56 Sunday.
The Terriers (15-11, 9-4 America East Conference) used a 15-2 run to lead 21-8 after less than 6 minutes of play. They were ahead 34-17 at halftime and led by double figures throughout the second half.Watson, who had his first career double-double, assisted on three baskets and D.J. Irving two during that run, and both finished with six assists. Irving also had 10 points and nine rebounds.Boston University, the America East's top 3-point shooting team, made 7 of 16 against New Hampshire (7-17, 3-9), which was leading the league in defense against 3s.The Terriers moved into a tie with Vermont for second place in the conference.Chris Pelcher scored 15 points and Chandler Rhoads 11 for the Wildcats.
