CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Flavien Davis scored the final six points for Montana State to edge the Bobcats past Southern Utah 54-52 on Saturday night.

Davis scored two layups and two free throws to break three ties and push Montana State (10-10, 5-4 Big Sky) into the lead. Southern Utah (1-18, 0-10) turned the ball over and missed a 3-pointer on its final two possessions.

Davis scored 16 points and Eric Norman had 11 rebounds.

Southern Utah led 24-13 with 2:50 left to play in the first half, but the Bobcats ended the half on a 7-0 run to trail by just four at intermission. Neither team led by more than four after the break, and the final 5 minutes saw four different ties.

A.J. Hess scored 14 and the final six points for the Thunderbirds, who continue to hold the longest losing streak in the nation at 17 games.
