CONWAY, Ark. -- Saah Nimley had hit just two 3-pointers in 10 tries, but drilled one at the end of the first overtime to force a second, and hit another 3 to spark Charleston Southern to a 97-90 double-overtime win against Central Arkansas Saturday.
Nimley scored seven of his 19 points in the overtimes. The Buccaneers (4-6) placed four in double figures, including Matt Kennedy with 23, Will Saunders 20 and Arlon Harper 15.LaQuentin Miles, in his first game of the season after academic ineligibility, scored a career-high 28 points for the Bears (2-7). He scored six in the overtimes and his free throw in the second OT gave Central Arkansas its last lead, 90-89. The Bears made only 1 of 5 free throws after regulation.The game was close throughout with 13 lead changes and 16 ties. Charleston Southern launched 33 of its 72 field goals from 3-point range, hitting 14.
