SAN ANTONIO -- Chris Anderson scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Louisiana Tech to an 87-72 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Saturday.
Kenyon McNeail came off the bench to add 15 points for the Bulldogs (18-5, 6-2 Conference USA). Jaron Johnson and Cordarius Johnson each had 11 and Alex Hamilton had 10.Louisiana Tech had a 57-32 lead at the break but UTSA went on a 22-6 run to start the second period to pull within nine with 12:22 left to play. Then Anderson and McNeail mounted a 14-6 run in 4 minutes to extend the Bulldogs' dominance to 82-65 with 5 minutes remaining.The Bulldogs shot 52.5 percent from the field and 64 percent from the line. Defensively, the team posted 12 steals, contributing to UTSA's 16 turnovers.Leading the Roadrunners (7-13, 3-4) was Keon Lewis with 24 points.
