PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Damon Lynn scored 27 points, including a pair of free throws with 2 seconds left, as New Jersey Institute of Technology edged Maryland-Eastern Shore 77-76 on Wednesday.

UMES was down by 11 at halftime, and trailed by eight with 4:29 left after a tip-in by Odera Nweke. The Hawks stormed back to take a 76-75 lead with 5 seconds left on a Troy Snyder basket and free throw. But Louis Bell fouled Lynn with 2.3 seconds left and Lynn hit both free throws to earn the win for NJIT.
