Texas A&M went into the crowd after the Texas win. Said one Aggie staffer, "You have no idea how much this means to (the fans)." Aggies senior Alex Caruso pounded his heart and said, "this means so much." Caruso was in high school the last time the two former rivals played. The Aggie fans chanted "S-E-C" toward the end of the game. Rivalry. Keep it going. Coaches want it. Both administrations need to get on board.

The Texas and Washington hoops teams will play each other twice in the first 2 weeks... China and the Bahamas. Because hey, why not.

Reason No. 1000 Texas and Texas A&M should play every year in hoops: this is an intense game. State of Texas needs a quality rivalry game in non-conference. Also, Aggies have too much talent not to finish in top 4 in SEC.

Yale keeping up with Duke in first half

No. 6 Duke leads unranked Yale 38-36 at the half behind Brandon Ingram's 9 points. Duke hasn't lost a non-conference home game since Feb. 26, 2000 -- when Ingram was 2 years old -- and Yale hasn't beaten a ranked team since Dec. 27, 1952. The Bulldogs have lost each of their last 50 games against AP Top-25 foes. Live on ESPNU, WatchESPN

Justin Sears soars for huge dunk

Yale's Sears pump-faked and drove for a big dunk against No. 6 Duke early in the first half, where Yale leads 13-7 on ESPNU.

Mussini pours in a season-high 24 points

SJU's Federico Mussini cuts to the bucket, receives a dime from Yankuba Sima and drops in the And-1 floater in the Johnnies' 100-93 win over Chaminade. Bill Walton was impressed.

Ben Simmons' highlight reel

He may only be a freshman, and the season may be less than a month old, but the LSU phenom has easily made enough great plays to star in his own highlight reel.

Missed dunk shatters backboard

Dontavious Smith went NBA Jam on this backboard at UMass Lowell. The proof that he wasn't actually a character that was "on fire"? He missed.
