May sound crazy but no coincidence North Carolina's Marcus Paige is breaking out of his shooting slump at Notre Dame. The Irish use a Wilson basketball, which Paige has always said was his favorite. Past two years at NC State, which also uses a Wilson, he's 12 of 17 from the 3-point line.

Even from trailing the play, Zach Auguste got the big swat.
The ball stops here
Back iron and out? Back iron and in? In this case it just stayed there.

Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said he "wasn't very good today" -- that he overcoached his team until about the six-minute mark in the second half, when he finally told the Terrapins' players to run two things (primarily the ball-screen stuff with Melo Trimble and Robert Carter) the rest of the game. In the meantime Turgeon remains pleased with his team's defense and its ability to hold on in tight, tough games, even as he waits for the offense to really open up. "Sometimes you're sitting over there and you've got 15 plays," Turgeon said. "Just keep it simple."

Simmons block turns into wedgie
The latest trick from superfreshman Ben Simmons: Blocking a shot so hard, it got wedged between the rim and the backboard.

Not sure how to view South Carolina. Just walked into College Station and beat a Texas A&M team that's played some of the best defense in America this season. But the Gamecocks are coming off a double-digit road loss to Georgia. Got crushed at Bama and Tennessee too.
