Keith Rivers

12/8/2003

Keith Rivers, 6-3, 220, 4.55, Lake Mary

A lot of people in the country have Keith ranked as the nation's top ILB and I have not seen anything on his film to argue that point.

On Film-He proves to be a big, strong, active, physical and instinctive backer who anticipates well and knows just when to commit to the tackle, he also proves to be very fluid in his movements. I was impressed with the way he covers ground and his ability to always be around the ball. Just a tremendous combination of size, speed, strength and smarts. In person he's a very modest but confident player and just the kind of guy that big-time schools need to lead their defense.

Stats-He totaled 160 tackles, 3 sacks, 11 tackles for losses, 1 pick and 3 caused fumbles in 2002. Benches 350 and has a 34" VJ.

Grades-His GPA is over a 3.0 and he scored an 840 on the SAT.

Favorite Schools-Keith, who lived in different parts of the country while his father was in the Air Force, says there are no favorite schools. During my talk with him I did believe that USC, MIAMI and FL ranked right at the top followed very closely by OH STATE, FSU, NE and OK.
