K-State reserves 2,000 additional seats

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- More than 20,000 Kansas State fans will
be getting tickets to the Jan. 2 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in Tempe,
Ariz.

Kansas State was allocated 18,500 tickets, but athletics
director Tim Weiser said the university acquired enough tickets to
fill the roughly 20,500 requests filed by the Thursday deadline.

"We will no longer accept orders for tickets," Weiser said.
"We will now turn our attention to the allocation and seating
process, which will take us into next week before tickets will be
ready to be mailed."

Seating assignments will be based on the school's priority
points system.

Kansas State (11-3) will play Ohio State (10-2 ) in the Bowl
Championship Series game. The Wildcats earned the berth Saturday
night by beating then-No. 1 Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship
game.

Kansas State will be making its second appearance at the Fiesta
Bowl, played at Sun Devil Stadium.
