Auburn Tigers starting linebacker Craig Stevens will play the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game with a cast on his left wrist.

Stevens said he suffered a third-degree sprain in the Alabama game.

Stevens said he's never played a game with a cast before.

"I'll be able to use my fingers, just not my wrist," Stevens said. "I think it will be OK.

"Tackling LaMichael James is a challenge," Stevens added, talking about the Oregon Ducks running back. "He reminds me of [West Virginia's] Noel Devine."

Stevens said he did not require surgery.
