Washington ends troubled few weeks with upset

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- After a turbulent few weeks for Washington, Charles Frederick did his best to make this one fun.

Frederick caught a pair of touchdown passes and returned a punt for another score as the Huskies upset No. 22 Oregon State 38-17 Saturday night, snapping the Beavers' four-game winning streak.

The victory stopped Washington's two-game losing streak, including a disheartening 28-17 upset loss to Nevada, and capped a week that saw controversy over a former Huskies doctor.
