St. Mary's, Cal. 33, SE Louisiana 27

MORAGA, Calif. -- Ryan Kirby rushed for 90 yards to lead St. Mary's to its first victory of the season, a 33-27 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.

Kirby scored his lone touchdown of the game on a 28-yard run with 2:45 remaining in the third period, giving the Gaels a 33-14 lead.

Southeastern Louisiana (3-6) scored twice in the fourth quarter, but St. Mary's (1-7) was able to run out the clock after the second touchdown and withstand the rally.
