Fitch to miss four to six months with injury
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force quarterback Adam Fitch will be out for four to six months after rupturing the Achilles tendon in his right leg.
Fitch, who was listed as the first-team quarterback, was injured during practice Thursday.
"This is a big blow to our program," said head football coach Fisher DeBerry. "I know what kind of competitor Adam is and I know he'll work hard to come back from this. This opens the door now for some other players. Somebody will have to step up."
