Costa moved to receiver then back

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona reserve quarterback Nic Costa has quit the team.

Wildcats coach Mike Stoops confirmed Costa's departure Monday but would not give a reason.

Costa, a junior from Aloha, Ore., was in on only a handful of plays after being moved to receiver in fall camp.

He was switched back to quarterback last month to compete against redshirt freshman Richard Kovalcheck to be the team's backup.
