Hawkins rewarded for WAC title, bowl berth

BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State University head football coach Dan Hawkins, whose unbeaten Broncos are ranked in the top 10 for the first time in school history, is in line for bonuses of at least $127,750 and another hefty raise if he remains with the team.

In addition to his base salary of $345,000, Hawkins will receive $28,750 for winning the Western Athletic Conference championship and securing a bowl berth, although which bowl remains a question. He also gets 20 percent of the increased ...
