LSU flight to Peach Bowl delayed over five hours
BATON ROUGE, La. -- It took LSU 5½ hours to get out of the airport and on the way to the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.
The team's chartered plane got stuck in the mud while turning onto the runway at Baton Rouge Metro Airport and another had to fly in from Atlanta, sports information director Michael Bonnette said.
"It's Christmas with the Tigers," Bonnette said. "Last year we had coach Saban and this year we got stuck in the mud."
