Florida State LB Ball out for season with torn ligament

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State freshman linebacker Marcus Ball will miss the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee in the 55-7 victory over Rice on Saturday.
Ball hurt his knee on kickoff coverage in the third quarter. Earlier in the game, he returned an interception 54 yards for the 19th-ranked Seminoles.
