Texas' McCoy suffers pinched nerve, return unknown
Texas freshman quarterback Colt McCoy sustained a severe pinched nerve in his neck on the final drive of Texas' 12-7 loss against Texas A&M on Friday.
McCoy lay motionless after a hit by Texas A&M's Michael Bennett. After 10 minutes, a medical crew loaded McCoy onto a stretcher and carted him off the field. He raised his arm and pointed to the sky.
According to Texas' athletic trainer Kenny Boyd, McCoy had the use of all his extremities and was taken to a hospital for observation.
