Humanitarian Bowl needs new partner after ACC goes in another direction

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- Beginning in 2009, the Atlantic Coast Conference will no longer partner with the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho, league commissioner John Swofford said Wednesday at the conclusion of the league's annual spring meetings.

Instead, the ACC has begun discussions with the fledgling Congressional Bowl (Washington, D.C.) and the GMAC Bowl (Mobile, Ala.) to add one or both for next season.
