Oregon QB Costa out minimum 8-10 weeks after reinjuring knee

Oregon sophomore quarterback Nate Costa will be out a minimum of eight to 10 weeks after reinjuring his surgically repaired left knee five days ago, the school reported Monday.

Justin Roper will start in the opener against Washington on Saturday in Autzen Stadium. His backups will be Jeremiah Masoli, a sophomore transfer, who led City College of San Francisco to the junior college national title last year, and true freshman Chris Harper.
