Connecticut's Edsall 'not interested' in returning to Syracuse

Connecticut coach Randy Edsall said Monday morning that he has no interest in the coaching vacancy at his alma mater, Syracuse.

In a telephone interview with Chuck Banning of The (New London, Conn.) Day, Edsall attempted to shoot down rumors that he was interested in returning to the Orange, where he served as both a player and assistant coach. Syracuse fired coach Greg Robinson on Sunday, and news reports had indicated that Edsall topped the school's wish list.
