Mississippi State's McRae breaks leg in second quarter vs. Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi State wide receiver Brandon McRae was taken off the field on a stretcher after breaking his leg against Mississippi on Friday in the second quarter of the Egg Bowl.

McRae's right leg snapped as he was running a pass pattern with about 6 minutes left in the first half. Trainers said he had a compound fracture of the tibia. They immobilized his right leg with an inflatable cast and took him from the field on a stretcher. The game was delayed for about 5 minutes.
