Irish to vote on whether to play in bowl

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame players have scheduled a players meeting for Monday while awaiting word on the fate of coach Charlie Weis.
The meeting, set for midafternoon, will include a vote on whether the players want to play in a bowl game after a 6-6 season. Athletic director Jack Swarbrick has said he will consider the players' wishes in deciding on a bowl trip.
Notre Dame (6-6) finished its regular season with its fourth straight loss, 45-38 at Stanford on Saturday night.
