Leggett pleads guilty to two counts
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Former Michigan State running back Ashton Leggett has pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and battery stemming from a campus fight late last year.
Leggett pleaded guilty Thursday in district court. An assault charge could bring up to 93 days in jail. His attorney has requested that Leggett be placed in a program that would avoid jail time.
A conspiracy to commit assault charge was dropped.
