Brewster deal bears smaller buyout

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota coach Tim Brewster's contract extension includes a smaller buyout and more bonus opportunities.
The Associated Press obtained a copy of the contract on Friday. If the university decides to fire Brewster without just cause, it will only owe him half of his remaining $400,000 annual base salaries.
Brewster's original contract called for a termination fee of the full base amount left.
