Report: Ralph Friedgen forced out
Maryland is reportedly forcing out football coach Ralph Friedgen.
Friedgen, The Baltimore Sun reported, was told by university officials he cannot coach the team next season.
Friedgen, who is in his 10th season, has been asked to retire but had not agreed to do so, the newspaper said. If he does not retire, Maryland can buy out the final season of his close to $2 million-a-year contract.
