Probation for Michigan State player
DETROIT -- Michigan State football player Dion Sims and another man have been sentenced to a year's probation in connection with the thefts of laptop computers from Detroit schools.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Sims and Christopher Schambre also were placed in a program for youthful offenders Monday. Their records will be expunged if they fulfill conditions of the court's probation.
They are required to perform community service, and Sims was ordered to remain in school.
