Clemson's early work pays dividends

Clemson's fast and furious close to its 2011 recruiting class helped push the Tigers' ranking into the top 10 nationally.

Included in the fast finish were the additions of the nation's top two linebackers -- Tony Steward of St. Augustine (Fla.) Menendez and Stephone Anthony of Wadesboro (N.C.) Anson -- defensive end Roderick Byers of Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern and offensive guard Spencer Region of Cullman, Ala.
