SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Drew Smith ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns to help Albany beat Northeast Conference rival Bryant 31-14 Saturday.
With Albany (5-1, 3-0) trailing by a touchdown late in the third quarter, Smith's 1-yard run up the middle tied the game at 14. Then on Bryant's next possession, Justinian Mason intercepted Mike Westerhaus and returned it for 75 yards and a score to give the Great Danes a 21-14 lead.
