DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Marred by late collapses this year, Dayton made sure there would be no fourth-quarter comeback Saturday, scoring 31 points by halftime and totaling 289 yards rushing in a 38-3 victory over Davidson.
The Flyers (2-4, 1-2 Pioneer Football League) had out-gained each their previous four opponents, but had been outscored 49-15 in the final period. Dayton held fourth-quarter leads in two of the losses.
