Emmert defends proposed change to recruiting rules
LOS ANGELES -- NCAA President Mark Emmert is defending a proposed change to football recruiting rules that would have removed the limits on the number of time coaches can call and text message recruits.
Emmert spoke to the Football Bowl Association on Wednesday about a wide-range of topics, including the need for clear lines of communication between the NCAA and its members.
