Ex-Mo. Southern player pleads guilty in crash

JOPLIN, Mo. -- A former Missouri Southern State University football player has pleaded guilty to charges in a crash that killed two of his teammates.

The Joplin Globe reports (http://bit.ly/177GUuM ) 21-year-old Jeremy Johnson, of Harrison, Ark., pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Jasper County Circuit Judge Gayle Crane scheduled sentencing for Aug. 19.
