Sugar Bowl

#63
COOL RUNNINGS

New Orleans | Jan. 4, 2000

Florida State led Virginia Tech, 28-7, with 2:47 left before halftime of the 2000 Sugar Bowl. Seminoles defensive end David Warren jumped offside and beelined for lefty quarterback Michael Vick's blind side. Vick spun right, cut inside and angled across for 43 yards to the Florida State 19. The Hokies lost, 46-29, but the play symbolized the change a-comin'. Suddenly, everyone coveted passers who could run.
