Coach Corso, I live across the tracks from Memorial Stadium. We have a mechanical bull and we were wondering if you wanted to come over and ride it on Saturday when you pick the Huskers to rout the Sooners!
Brandon Lechtenberg, Lincoln, Neb.

I'll tell you what -- if Nebraska wins, come and get me on the set, and sure, I'll ride your mechanical bull. But only if Nebraska wins. If the Sooners win, then you'll have to ride it!!!

Lee - Can Nebraska beat Oklahoma after their lackluster performance at home against Texas Tech?
Tim, Scottsbluff, Neb.

The 'Huskers have to do something about their pass defense -- it was horrible against Texas Tech. Tech threw the ball all over the place, and the 'Huskers never rushed them. After seeing how they played Texas Tech, I think the chances of Nebraska beating Oklahoma are slim to none.

Editor's Note
Lee Corso and the rest of the Gameday crew can't get to every campus this season, so ESPN.com has given fans another option: It's called "Lee-Mail." Lee has an opinion on just about anything related to college football. So, go ahead and send him a question. He'll answer each Wednesday during the season in "Lee-Mail."

How good do you really think Georgia Tech is, and what do you think of the ACC's strength this year?
Chuck Boulware, Atlanta, Ga.

North Carolina is the best team in the ACC right now, followed by FSU. If they played Florida State again, I think the Tar Heels could win again. The ACC has really gained a lot of strength this year. Georgia Tech is the third best team in the conference, behind the Tar Heels and the 'Noles.

What is wrong with Pitt? Coming into the year they were preseason Top 25, now they would be lucky to beat a D-1A team. People in Pittsburgh are blaming Walt Harris, but I don't think it's his fault, what do you think?
Kevin, Pittsburgh, Pa.

It's not anybody's fault. Everyone's expectations of the Panthers were too high when the season started. When they lost to the University of South Florida, the team unraveled, and they haven't bounced back yet. They have to get rid of that South Florida loss if they want the trash-talking to stop. They'll be back -- they have a great high school quarterback signed, a nice new facility, and Walt Harris is a good coach. Pitt will be back.

Lee, is Virginia Tech overrated? They ARE 6-0, but look at their schedule - they havent played a solid team yet.
Nathan Sigler, Austin, Texas

No way are the Hokies overrated. Virginia Tech is so good that they make their opponents look not solid. They'll prove themselves in the up coming games against Syracuse and Miami.

Mr. Corso, I would like your opinion on why there is a double standard toward coaches. My question specifically is this: Why can Bobby Bowden shamelessly run up the score on opponents -- against Virginia this past weekend and against his own son at Clemson last year -- and not get criticized? I'm a Florida fan and it's very disturbing to see Steve Spurrier constantly taking potshots for scoring late, which he does, when just up the road Bowden does the same thing and everyone just laughs it up.
David Morgan, Los Angeles, Calif.

It's the Grandfather syndrome. Bobby Bowden is like everyone's jolly old Grandpa -- and no one wants to get mad at Grandpa. People don't want to look at Bowden in a negative way, while they have no problem looking at the brash, young Steve Spurrier negatively. Spurrier rubs people wrong because he's aggressive and he's a great coach. Sure, there is a double standard. But there isn't anything wrong with either coach. And not to worry, criticism DOES NOT keep Steve Spurrier awake at night.

Rex Grossman
The week off will be good for Rex Grossman and the Gators.
Will the week off help or hinder Florida this weekend against Georgia?
Geoff Harnett, Tallahassee, Fla.

A week off always helps, especially after a tough loss. Tennessee lost a tough one to Georgia and came back to beat Alabama. The week off was good for the Gators to gather their thoughts. They are still not out of the Rose Bowl race. If the Gators win all of their remaining games, they still have a great shot of going to Pasadena.

Coach, Ole Miss vs. LSU -- what do you think are the chances are of the Rebels beating the Tigers?
Paul, Tupelo, Miss.

It depends on Eli Manning. LSU is tough to beat at home, but if Manning has a good game throwing the football, the Rebels will have a shot. I still think LSU will win, but it will be closer than the experts think.

In the last three games, Carlyle Holiday has led Notre Dame to two wins. Do you think the team has a chance to win the rest of their games and a bowl? And how good do you think the the future is for Carlyle Holiday?
Chris King, Atlanta, Ga.

Holiday is the quarterback of the future for the Irish. He can run and throw, and he makes some great decisions. If they don't go to the Gator Bowl, the Irish will end up in beautiful downtown Orlando for the Tangerine Bowl.

Coach, what do you think will be the biggest key to Tennessee beating South Carolina this weekend and what do you think of the numbers Travis Stephens is putting up this year?
James Kelly, Clarksville, Tenn.

The key for the Vols is speed on the outside with Donte Stallworth and Kelley Washington. Those guys can fly. Stephens is putting up great numbers, but he's getting a lot of help because everyone is putting double-coverage on the wideouts. That's what is so great about Tennessee -- if you put too many men in the box, then the pass hurts you. If you put many guys on the pass defense, then Stephens hurts you. The Vols are a really hot team right now -- I didn't think they could beat Alabama but they sure proved me wrong.
